Only through Us

Empowering citizens to protect American principles and freedoms

from fear-based  politicS.

Each of us, all of us—and Only Through US—must work to protect American freedoms and principles, and guard against reactionary, fear-based policy-making in the wake of terror attacks.

What We Do

Only Through US works to build resilience in communities and among policymakers for the protection of the U.S. refugee program and religious inclusion in America. We champion the prevalence of law and order efforts to close Guantanamo Bay, to confirm America's commitment to end torture, and to make America safe and inclusive for all Americans.

To do this:

1.  We partner with organizations and mobilize citizens to demand genuine leadership from policymakers in our fight against terrorism.

We work directly with elected officials and their staff at the state and federal level to ensure they have the information and expertise they need to make informed policy decisions.

2.     We collaborate with a diverse coalition of partners, including refugees, national security experts, and veteran coalitions to create original content that clearly demonstrates the value of protecting principles while protecting security.

Through this content, we educate American citizens on the objectives of terrorism and the strength needed to uphold American principles of inclusivity, welcome, and freedom.

3.     We build the capacity of journalists and researchers to provide thoughtful, inclusive coverage on terror attacks and national security.

This includes giving access to the most senior national security leaders as well as voice to the perspectives of Muslim-Americans, refugees, and vulnerable communities who are often the victims of terrorism, both directly and in the policies that are enacted in response.

Only Through US seeks to protect American principles and freedoms against fear-based reactionary politics that follow in the wake of terror attacks.
