What We Do

Only Through US works to build resilience in communities and among policymakers for the protection of the U.S. refugee program and religious inclusion in America. We champion the prevalence of law and order efforts to close Guantanamo Bay, to confirm America's commitment to end torture, and to make America safe and inclusive for all Americans.

To do this:

1.  We partner with organizations and mobilize citizens to demand moral leadership from policymakers in our fight against terrorism.

We work directly with elected officials and their staff at the state and federal level to ensure they have the expertise they need to make informed policy decisions. We hold elected officials accountable for their decisions and their votes.

2.     We collaborate with a diverse coalition of partners, including national security experts and veteran coalitions, to create original media and sharable video content to counter fear-based messaging following a foreign terror attack.

Through this content, we educate American citizens on the objectives of terrorism and the value of upholding American principles of inclusivity, welcome, and freedom.

3.     We build the capacity of journalists to provide thoughtful, inclusive coverage on terror attacks and national security.

This includes giving access to senior national security advisors as well as voice to the perspectives of Muslim-Americans, refugees, and vulnerable communities who are often the victims of terrorism, both directly and in the policies that are enacted in response.
